I was born and grew up in Switzerland (of Romanian and Czech background). I studied English Lit in Zurich and later did my PhD at Oxford University (St. Peter’s College). But, since everybody’s a critic, I decided to start writing fiction myself, whenever my kids let me. I teach English in Switzerland.
